SHIFTING its business model to managed services and away from fi xed-line deals has continued to pay off for AdEPT Telecom, its latest figures have revealed.
Following a period of high profile acquisitions, the Tunbridge Wells-based firm recorded a pre-tax profit of £3.4million for the year ending March 31, up from £2.9million the previous year.
The statement, released last month, also revealed revenue grew by 19 per cent to £34.4million during this period, when the firm bought Comms Group UK, CAT Communications and OurIT Department.
The Non-Executive Chairman of the Aim-listed company, Roger Wilson, said: “Following these acquisitions, the group is able to offer its existing and targeted customer base a fully converged unified communications and IT service.”
He continued: “The acquisitions completed during the year, combined with organic sales, have increased the rate of transition of the group towards a complete managed service provider, with revenue from managed services accounting for more than 55 per cent of the total in the year ended March 31 2017.”
