Carluccio’s has confirmed its Tunbridge Wells branch is not one of the 34 closing across the UK.
Around one third of the Italian chain’s 103 sites are likely to close following financial pressures.
But it will not be following former rivals Jamie’s Italian and Strada out of Tunbridge Wells.
A spokesperson for Carluccio’s said: ‘We can confirm that Carluccio’s in Tunbridge Wells is entirely unaffected by the current restructuring process and will remain open.
‘We look forward to continuing to welcome the people of Tunbridge Wells to our restaurant, delivering Carluccio’s signature all-day, Italian dining experience.’
Carluccio’s offers breakfasts, coffee, lunches and dinners, recently holding a promotion where customers could claim a free meal if they arrived in pyjamas.
The chain has entered a Company Voluntary Agreement, which allows it to keep trading while paying off debts.
In the past, Carluccio’s has operated a Christmas pop-up shop inside Royal Victoria Place selling gift items.
Their Mount Pleasant eatery is set to now face competition from Esquires, a new café set to open this summer only a few doors along the road.
