Celebrity launch of £11m care home

A NEW care has home opened its doors in Tunbridge Wells following an £11million investment from one of the country’s leading residential care providers.
Chamberlain Court Care Home on Mount Ephraim was opened on July 12 at a ceremony attended by television presenter Fiona Phillips, who is also an Ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society.
It joins the 15 other facilities run by Hallmark Care Homes across the UK and boasts a dedicated cinema room, hair salon, barber, therapy room and café.
Speaking at the launch, Ms Phillips praised the ‘passion and enthusiasm’ of the staff and highlighted the importance of creating a community atmosphere for older people who may otherwise feel isolated.

The General Manager at Chamberlain Court Care Home, Mark McDonald, said: “We hope to be a well-respected member of the Royal Tunbridge Wells community. At Hallmark Care Homes we take pride in our reputation of providing high quality relationship-centred care to the residents and I am excited to be able to lead the team here at Chamberlain Court.”
