Ben and Helen Janousek, who run The Perfume Studio in Church Road, were called upon by the BBC’s The Apprentice to set a challenge for the show’s candidates.
Broadcast last Wednesday [December 4], the show saw candidates tasked with creating and marketing a brand new fragrance after a little guidance from Mr and Mrs Janouse.
The Tunbridge Wells duo showed the apprentices their unique perfume mixing process, before the contestants set about creating their own special scents .
“We are fairly unique in what we do,” explained Mr Janousek. “We train people how to design their own perfume, so we were asked to come up with this challenge for the programme’s contestants.”
He continued: “They did really well and made some great fragrances.
“The great thing about our process is that it is impossible to design a bad perfume. It is all about personal taste.”
However, things didn’t end too well for 20-year-Dean Ahmad, who was ‘fired’ by Lord Sir Alan Sugar following the challenge.
