LEADING LIGHT Abi Todd was named Kent League Player of the Year

THE Bell in Ticehurst was named Regional Pub of the Year at the National Pub and Bar Awards last week.

Having already been awarded the Best Pub in East Sussex, the popular establishment beat ten other finalists to secure the region-wide title bestowed upon during a ceremony held at London’s iconic BAFTA theatre.

General Manager Howard Canning, who received the award with Operations Supervisor Pippa Alfille, said: “We are over the moon. The Bell is far from a conventional local, we have high ambitions and this award recognises the hard work our team put in to achieving them.”

The Bell was up against Kent’s Pub of the Year, The Dog at Wingham, the White Horse in Chilgrove, West Sussex and The Park Hatch in Cranleigh, Surrey – as well as others Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, The Isle of Weight and Oxfordshire.
