The number of people out of work in the county fell by 525 to 17,355 in June, as the county’s labour market remained resilient despite the looming referendum.

The official figures – which measure the number of people on Jobseekers’ Allowance or Universal Credit – also revealed Tunbridge Wells continued to have the lowest claimant count at 495, followed by Tonbridge & Malling at 700.
