The world’s greatest dog show Crufts takes place this week and�here at theknow we�take a look at�the best walks around the county to take with your beloved�four legged friend.
Dunorlan Park
A 20-minute walk out of Tunbridge Wells town centre, Dunorlan Park is well-known for its attractive boating lake, along with several ponds and the terraced caf� that’s nestled into the slight rise. Whether you decide to walk or run along the path that surrounds the lake, it’s a great way to exercise, and has plenty of woof factor too.
Bewl Water
Just outside Lamberhurst, Bewl Water is an ideal location for outdoor fun for all ages, abilities, families and those with paws too. An entry fee applies, but Bewl has 12 � miles of beautiful scenery to explore and these routes are open to walkers all year round and follow a collection of forest paths, country lanes and all weather surfaces.
Knole Park to Ightham Mote
Knole Park boasts 1,000 acres of parkland so there’s plenty of space to walk, run and enjoy the great outdoors with your furry companion, but did you know The Greensand Way links Knole and Ightham Mote by way of One Tree Hill? Famous for its sweeping views over the Weald of Kent this walk is a 4 mile (6.5km) route, and takes about an about an hour or two to walk and Fido can come with you too. A certain level of fitness is required, but the route is not strenuous.

Bedgebury Pinetum
Set in 350 acres of rolling forest, Bedgebury Pinetum is a beautiful setting to enjoy peaceful walks and picnics giving enormous pleasure to all those who visit it all year round. The forest offers miles of trails that are perfect for health walks, orienteering, adventurous family walks, and walking the dog. Dogs must be kept on a lead in the Pinetum but forest trails are large enough to allow your dog to run without disturbing others and the forest wildlife.
Haysden Country Park, Tonbridge
A six time winner of the Green Flag Award, this park offers 64 hectares of beautiful countryside and a relaxing setting for a variety of leisure activities including sailing, picnic areas, horse riding, cycle paths, family activities, dog walking and much more. There are two lovely lakes to walk around with more extensive routes available for those wanting to do a little more.
