A mouth-watering mix of quality gin and hip-swinging jazz is coming to The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells this weekend.
Tipped to be a staple of the summer culinary calendar, visitors can either indulge their established love of the spirit-of-the-moment or discover the extraordinary versatility of gin for the very first time.
Over 30 artisan producers will be showcasing their best work through tasters, demonstrations and expert mixology. You can expect to see Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin, Anno Distillers, Audemus Spirits, Britishhoney, and Greensand Ridge Distillery, to name but a few, getting involved by serving up everything from dazzling cocktails to the classic gin and tonic.
Those who can take or leave gin needn’t feel left out. Set sights on a range of spirits and sparkling bubbles against the backdrop of live jazz beats and a funkster DJ.
Not content on simply sipping the tipples, The Pantiles Bandstand Company have arranged for a number of stalls serving up the créme de la créme of local cuisine. Peruse stalls from Fire & Crust, Sankey’s Paella Shack, Porkk & Bap and Hattons food stall.
Organiser Julian Leef-Griffiths says: ‘Gin has never been more popular, and neither has The Pantiles. While away the weekend enjoying a fantastic atmosphere, and tasting artisan, handmade gins that are produced by local people.’
The Pantiles Gin and Jazz Festival takes over the historic site from 11am – 6pm on Saturday June 9. More details can be found on the Tunbridge Wells Hotel website.
