She completed a fast Welsh 25-mile time trial course near Rhigos in an impressive 54min 45sec, finishing in sixth place and setting a new club record and personal best time. In the men’s event Matt Kuwertz recorded a time of 53.12.
Jenkins went on to win the London Women’s Racing TT series, completing the 18.5-mile course near Dorking in 45.01. David Rumm was third in the men’s race in 46.23.
Natasha Jarman recorded 30.20 at the Wigmore CC 10-mile time trial, and in the ESCA 10-mile TT at East Hoathly Doug Finch finished in 36.46.
There were also strong results for the juniors in Spring in the Park at Gravesend Cyclopark. Theo Sandell came second in the Under-12 boys’ race, while in the U14s Patrick Lear (sixth), Ben Neal (seventh), Maurice Tate (11th) and Scott Purchas (12th) were all well placed. In the U16 juniors Sam Cartwright was 13th, Felix Ledger 23rd and Patrick Torrison 25th in a competitive field.
