It may date back to the 17th century but Tunbridge Wells’ beloved Pantiles area has set its sights firmly on the 21st century thanks to the recent launch of its new, state-of-the-art website.
ThePantiles.com has been designed to provide the ultimate user-friendly experience and encourages its visitors to explore and discover everything The Pantiles has to offer.
Features of the site include a store directory to aid guests in their exploration as well as news and blog pages to keep people up to date with the latest Pantiles events. There’s also a ‘What’s On’ section which means people won’t miss a moment of the wide range of fantastic events that are lined up in the town’s famous promenade.
There is also a history section where visitors can learn all about The Pantiles’ fascinating past. This includes a free, downloadable copy of a specially commissioned book on the history of The Pantiles, entitled ‘A small corner of England; a huge chunk of history’.
As anyone who has been there will know, The Pantiles is not only a fabulous place to hang out or go shopping, it also has a strong, vibrant community. And some of the features of the new website have been designed to build upon that community.
Each business at The Pantiles has its own page, accessed via the store directory, where they display information about themselves as well as their opening times, contact details and special offers. There’s also a section for advertising any job vacancies that may arise.
The new site will run alongside The Pantiles’ social media feeds on Facebook and Twitter. Corin Thoday of Targetfollow, owners and managers of The Upper Pantiles, said: “We are delighted to be launching ThePantiles.com. We have been thrilled to see such a massive response to our Pantiles Facebook and Twitter campaigns. Naturally, the next step was to launch the website.
“Our aim was to create an online hub for everything Pantiles-orientated, where visitors could learn a little bit more about the venue and its traders, get the latest news and maybe pick up a few exclusive offers too. We have further exciting things planned for The Pantiles. This is just the beginning.”
