Hockey: Alexander impresses as Tunbridge Wells Ladies show form

TUNBRIDGE WELLS Ladies made it two convincing wins in a row as they moved up to fifth place in East Region Division One South.

The visitors got off to a strong start but the deadlock was not broken until late in the first half, Bertie Organ scoring after a well-worked short corner routine.

The second half was all Wells pressure, which was rewarded by clinical finishing from Ana Glubb.

Player of the match Harriet Alexander capped a fine all-round display with a deserved goal. A fine solo effort from Glubb completed the victory.

Wells leapfrogged Upminster, who they now host on Saturday [November 4] at Hawkenbury.
