TUNBRIDGE WELLS Ladies earned a deserved point to provide them with a fifth-place finish in East Region Division One South at the end of the campaign.
The home side dominated the first half-hour at Hawkenbury but despite numerous short corners and attempts on the Chelmsford goal their finishing proved fruitless.
Wells were distributing the ball well but against the run of play Chelmsford were able to score on a counter-attack.
The home side came back from the break with more fight and quickly found an equaliser to show for their efforts through Amy Hare.
Both teams tried relentlessly to score the winner, making the game end-to-end and nailbiting.
Chelmsford scored their second goal to take the lead after an excellent passage of play.
But Wells worked tirelessly to get back in the game and the equaliser finally came from Jen Hunt with five minutes left.
