TUNBRIDGE WELLS Ladies started strongly against Folkestone at Hawkenbury, dominating the game and distributing the ball well.
This was rewarded after 10 minutes, when a strong team build up allowed Annie Wilson to flick the ball into the back of the net to give Wells the lead.
Folkestone had their share of incisive attacks as the half wore on but Ali Playle in the home goal made sure Wells went in one up at the break.
In the second half Folkestone were stronger but once again could not get past Wells’ strong defensive unit of Amy Hare, Louisa Richardson and Playle.
After a fast counter-attack Tunbridge Wells were awarded a short corner and captain and player of the match Jen Hunt buried the ball into the bottom right hand corner.
Wells made it three when Wilson notched her second with a deflection off Perdi Knight’s strike.
Wells Ladies remain in fifth place in East Region Division One South. Next they face a stern test as they travel to second-placed Broxbourne.Â
