TUNBRIDGE WELLS made it three wins in a row to move up to fourth place in East Region Division One South.
The home side started strongly, attacking their opponents at pace, with Annie Wilson and Nelia Bekker impressing – and the latter latched onto a rebound to fire home the first goal.
Perdi Knight and Harriet Alexander joined in to torment the opposition defence, but the second goal would not come.
Wells were indebted to a goalline clearance from Amy Hare to ensure they went into half-time with their narrow lead.
The second half saw a similar pattern as Wells mounted attack after attack but unlike in recent weeks they were not clinical in front of goal.
The second goal did finally come as a well-executed short corner saw player of the match Wilson fire the ball into the bottom right-hand corner.
The Ladies face a stern test as they host Bromley & Beckenham, the league leaders with seven wins out of seven, at Hawkenbury on Saturday [November 4, 1pm start].
