This multi-award-winning vintage sparkling wine is crafted using the traditional method (secondary fermentation in bottle, followed by extensive lees ageing).
A pale salmon pink with a fine bead and sustained mousse, this premium fizz displays very clean aromas with notes of rosehip, red berry and herbs. The nicely restrained English acidity complements a palate bursting with redcurrant and sloe fruits, and there is a wonderfully long finish.
The winemaker’s favourite food pairing for Balfour Brut Rosé is scallops with Kent Chorizo, and this wine is very food-friendly. Other matches include Prawn cocktail with Marie Rose sauce, succulent braised venison or winter berry cheesecake.
