According to Gamma’s recent survey “41% of small and 75% of medium-sized businesses cite network performance as their biggest communications challenge”.

If your business needs to upgrade to a faster connectivity solution, our simple steps below should help to facilitate the switch and enable future business growth.

1: Find the right provider
Look for a voice provider that is also an internet service provider as this means they’ll own the network. Infinity are Internet Service Providers (ISP) and own their network which ensures services such as hosted telephony are prioritised.

2: Pick the right plan
From high-speed business broadband to fibre Ethernet, there are several options
for businesses that want to ensure fast and reliable connection for data and voice. The decision of which to go for should be led by two factors – the size of the workforce and the intended use of the service.

3: Ask about ‘Plan B’
So while downtime is never a telecommunications provider’s favourite topic of conversation, it’s an important consideration. Ensure they have a Plan B that includes automatic call redirection at the very least.

4: Is the cost reasonable?
Reliable fast fibre broadband used to be incredibly expensive particularly for SMEs. This is not the case anymore so ensure you compare rates.

5: Get a Service Level Agreement (SLA) in place
Look at services that come with an SLA to ensure it’s right for your business needs and that your fault fixing is not low priority.
