Our special tribute to Caroline Elliott happens this Saturday (January 14) and will involve a number of people who knew and worked with her. They will be talking about her life – particularly at Trinity – and there will also be a series of video clips of the many performances she was involved with.
Caroline’s husband Michael Elliott will be one of those speaking at the event, not just because he was married to Caroline, but because he appeared with her in so many productions – they even directed one another in various roles.
Others sharing their memories of Caroline’s great contribution to Trinity, which she helped to set up in the 1980s, include Michael Stubbs, a previous Chairperson of Trinity, who will be focusing on Caroline’s early years at the theatre, Kim Begley who will sing while Meg Nutt, former Chairperson of Trinity Theatre Club (TTC), will be talking about Caroline’s involvement in acting and directing for the group. There will also be a performance by current TTC members performing a scene from God of Carnage, the play Caroline directed just a month before she died.
As well as being volunteer Box Office Manager for over 35 year, Caroline also served on the board of directors and was a leading light of Trinity Theatre Club. In short she is part of the building’s DNA and her legacy is simply that without her efforts we would not be here today.
The Caroline Elliott memorial event is on January 14 at 2.30pm, is free and open to anyone to attend but booking is required. Please go to www.trinitytheatre.net for more details.
