TUNBRIDGE WELLS chalked up another impressive win, over the team in fifth place in London & South-East Premier Division, following their victory over Sidcup the previous weekend.
The Essex side had also recorded a significant success against Barnes in the previous match, but the home team dominated the first quarter.
Shaydn Osgood and Mike Doherty interpassed on the left and Doherty did well to land the ball as he dived into the left corner on 14 minutes, Frank Reynolds converting.
With 21 minutes gone Matt Spicer and Reynolds exchanged passes at speed before setting wing Blaise Salle free to score a try which was again converted by Reynolds and the home side went in at the interval 14-0 ahead.
Influential fly-half Reynolds suffered a recurrence of a shoulder injury so Ryan Taylor-Dennehy moved to 10 and Academy product Richard Webster took on the full-back duties.
All three of the back row contributed to a move instigated by No 8 Nick Doherty that saw Hayden Pengelly score the third try on 46 minutes.
Wells secured their try bonus as a delightful blindside pass from captain Chas Spence put wing Spicer in at the left corner.
Westcliff fought their way back into the game in the last 20 minutes, preventing Wells from any further score and picking up a converted pushover try from No 8 Joe Vandermolen.
It was a highly impressive sixth win of the season despite the loss of their hooker Luke Hawkins and fly-half Reynolds through injury and Wells remain in seventh place.
They visit Guildford on Saturday (December 9, kick-off 2pm) as they look to see if they can force their way back into the top six.
