A record 40 squads participated, with a regional qualifier for England Rugby’s Secure Trading Sevens series on Saturday and Kent County Girls playing in four age groups.
Wells beat Richmond Renegades for the second year in a row to win the Men’s Open final 40-5. Jake Caddy from the home club was named Player of the Tournament.
Penarth Bearbacks from Wales lifted the Social Plate, beating the Colts, a team made up of 17-year-old Wells players who showed great promise in their first venture into senior rugby.
The Kent Under-13s Girls competition was won by Heathfield, with Medway Golds as runners-up and Horsham Green in third.
The Under-15s title was won by Aylesford, who were very impressive in a 31-0 win over Medway in the final; Sudbury beat Tunbridge Wells 39-5 in the Plate final.
Uckfield Vixens beat Medway 21-10 in the Under-18s Plate final before the weekend’s rugby reached a fitting finale for the host club.
Tunbridge Wells White defeated Sudbury 21-14 in the Under-18s Cup final, securing victory with try scored by running the length of the field in the dying seconds.
This completed a remarkable clean sweep for Tunbridge Wells Ladies Under-18s. This season they have also won the Kent League and Cup.
