GREG CLARK was criticised by the founder of MoneySavingExpert.com, Martin Lewis, yesterday (May 9) after the Conservative candidate, whose cabinet brief included energy, said he has never switched energy provider as it is ‘a hassle’.
He made the admission on BBC Breakfast comes after the Conservatives’ announcement they will cap ‘rip off’ gas and electricity prices if they return to power.
It led Mr Lewis, whose Cheap Energy Club platform encourages engagement with the switching process to save money on bills, to tweet: “Disgraceful. That should probably disqualify him from being energy minister. He should’ve tried just so he has lived experience.”
