A group of 20 local residents will undertake a 77-mile coast-to-coast hike across Scotland on August 25 dressed as Batman, Superman and Marvel Avengers characters to raise funds for the charity FPWR-UK.
The Foundation for Prada-Willi Research supports families whose children have a rare genetic disorder called Prada-Willi Syndrome, which affects the chromosomes.
The UK has an estimated 1,150 people with PWS, and the trek also aims to raise awareness of this little-known illness and the work of the charity.
The team will be led by Sevenoaks rugby player Tim Golds, whose son suffers from the disorder.
