A PUBLICAN with a talent for turning around ailing establishments has taken over the Guinea Butt pub on Calverley road it can be confirmed.
Garry Mullen, who already owns 12 watering holes, took over the establishment from Greene King, leading to its temporary closure on Wednesday. To mark the change of ownership, the name of the pub will also be condensed to just The Guinea.
Known ‘the talented Mr Mullen’ by industry publications, the new owner said the pub’s new offering will be mainly real ales, craft ales and freshly made food from local sources.
