TIS the season for skating in Tunbridge Wells with the Calverley Grounds Ice Rink opening on Friday [November 16].
The attraction, which Mayor Len Horwood declared open, will be a fixture in the park until January 2.
And it was launched in style, with The Assembly Hall Theatre’s pantomime star Claire Sweeney performing songs.
Selected guests were then invited to skate, before the rink opened to the general public and some 40,000 are now expected to give it a go.
