Staff at Ward & Partners estate agents in Tunbridge Wells saddled up on exercise bikes in the office last Wednesday (July 13) to raise money for two children’s charities, ellenor and Action Medical Research.
They were taking part in the company’s Cycle Around the World challenge, in which branches go head to head to cycle as far as they can in one day.
The challenge has been running since April, and the Tunbridge Wells team managed to ride 179km through an imaginary Australia for a grand total of 18,651km. They have another 12,000km to go.
Branch Secretary Melissa Richards says: “It’s such a great chance for us to give something back – the two charities we are supporting do fabulous work.
“And if we burned a few extra calories to justify eating some of the cakes on sale during the day, then that’s even better.”
Ward & Partners is part of the Arun Estates group, which has raised £103,000 for a variety of charities during the past year.
