THE first draw of the borough lottery will be held on Saturday, giving players a chance to win £25,000 while helping almost 50 charities in the local area.
For every £1 ticket bought, 60p will go towards good causes. Players can also choose which of the 47 organisations currently registered on the TW Lotto website will receive the majority of this donation.
The diverse range of organisations which could benefit include The Royal Tunbridge Wells Scouts, Rusthall Community Cinema and the Community Car Service.
As the Times went to press, around 240 tickets had been purchased.
Tickets for the weekly Saturday draw cost £1. Players will then select a six-digit combination from numbers between 1 and 9.
Winning tickets must match the exact order of the numbers and, unlike the national lottery, the numbers can be repeated more than once.
