City consultant Stuart Andrews (54) has been charged with the murder of his wife Caroline Andrews (52).
At a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday, Andrews – wearing a grey tracksuit – spoke only to confirm his name. No bail application was made, and Andrews was remanded in custody. A provisional trial date was set for July 25. Police were called to the couple’s house in The Street, Benenden, on Thursday, February 4 where they discovered the body of Mrs Andrews. A post mortem showed she died from compression of the neck.
