Paul Perkins went missing from his home in the Norman Road area of the town on May 28.
The 58-year-old, had also gone missing earlier in May but had been found safe and well near Ashdown Forest.
Family members had said they had been worried about the effects of lockdown on Mr Perkins.
A body believed to be that of the missing man was found by a member of the public in the Shrublands Court area of Tunbridge Wells on Saturday evening [June 13].
Kent Police say while no formal identification has yet taken place, officers have spoken to Mr Perkins’ family and informed them of the discovery.
A spokesperson added: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.”
On Mr Perkins’ Facebook page a post reads: “It is with regret we can announce that Paul was found deceased by a member of public near his home in Tunbridge Wells.
“The response from members of the public has been outstanding especially in these difficult times.
“On behalf of the family we would like to thank everyone who has offered their help and support throughout these last couple of weeks.”
