Having rocked the socks off audiences all over the world for nearly 25 years, the Buddy Holly and The Cricketers show is coming to Tunbridge Wells with a fantastic medley of music and memories that pay tribute to the legendary 50s rock and roll sensation.
This fantastic celebration of the late, great American singer’s life and his timeless canon of musical work illustrate just why Buddy Holly’s talent still lives on – nearly 70 years after he tragically died in a plane crash.
As well as dancing and singing along to a plethora of his famous pop hits, including Peggy Sue and That’ll Be The Day, audiences will also be treated to a series of re-enactments of Buddy’s life.
“We love creating a great party atmosphere,” declares one of the show’s founders, Simon Fielder. “We’ve been doing this for 24 years and it’s still great fun.
“The Buddy Holly and The Cricketers cast is made up of some of theatreland’s finest actors and musicians who have appeared in West End shows ranging from Buddy, Lennon and Return to the Forbidden Planet to Jailhouse Rock.”
During the two-hour rock and rollercoaster of hits and homage there are also tons of his other fabulous 50s classic hits woven into the set by Elvis and Chuck Berry.
“It’s just a great two hours of music and rock and roll greats that will have people dancing,” says Simon.
“We want people to get up on their feet and leave the show feeling uplifted and energised!” he laughs.
