A MAN has been found dead in the stairwell of a public car park in Tunbridge Wells.
Kent Fire & Rescue were called to Torrington Car Park in Vale Road at 4.04am following the death of a man found lying on the ground.
Officers are currently investigating and are treating the death as ‘unexplained’. The car park is likely to remain closed for ‘several hours’ while they carry out their investigation.
Forensic teams have been seen at the incident.
The Range department store which is situated below has confirmed it will remain open.
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has confirmed that car park season ticket holders can park in any Council pay and display car park while Torrington remains closed.
