Residents in The Slade in Tonbridge found themselves trapped after a tree fell across the road and onto an Audi A4 when Storm Katie brought strong winds and rain to the south east in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday. The only way for vehicles to get out was to drive the wrong way down a one way street. This picture was captured by Justin Jones who lives in The Slade.
In the High Street, signage being used during the regeneration road works were left strewn across the road, and firefighters had to rescue two men and a woman from a boat when it broke away from its mooring on the River Medway.
