Fundraisers at the firm had set themselves the challenge of raising £10,000 a year by participating in a wide range of activities and events.
Staff took part in sky dives, bike rides, marathons and 10k runs, while other events included charity auctions, quiz nights and raffles.
One cyclist alone raised £2,220 when he rode from Paddock Wood to Ireland.
Denise Pantrey, one of the designated ‘charity champions’ at the Fresh Produce Centre, said: “We are so pleased that we exceeded our target because we were always aware that every pound raised would go towards such a wonderful cause.
“We also enjoyed the activities. And I am sure it was good for teamwork.”
The Hospice’s Relationship Fundraising Manager, Ewan Tuohy, said: “This is a phenomenal achievement.
“We cannot thank and praise enough all those who took part in the charity activities.
“The funds will be so important for our vital service.”
Part of Fresca Group, the produce centre has also provided fresh fruit like bananas and strawberries in support of hospice events.
