Every year, around 270 people in Tunbridge Wells die from heart attacks or circulatory disease, and a further 250 people die from the conditions in Tonbridge.
Across both towns, more than 24,000 people are living with a heart condition.
“Tragically, heart and circulatory diseases kill 20,946 people each year in the South East and 940,000 people are living with the daily burden of these conditions,” said Amanda Bringans, Director of Fundraising at the BHF.
“This Christmas, I’m asking you to think about the millions of families who have been torn apart by heart and circulatory diseases.
“By donating to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) this festive season, you will be making a huge difference to help keep more families together.”
She added that donations to the charity towards funding lifesaving research into heart and circulatory diseases, helping to find new cures, treatments and ways to diagnose and prevent these conditions.
