Council updates pending in light of freezing weather conditions
Tunbridge Wells
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council was unable to run a normal waste and recycling collection service yesterday due to the bad weather. Planning on restarting operations as soon as possible, the council has advised residents to leave their bins/boxes out, and will update its website with new information.

Tonbridge & Malling
Similarly, Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council’s recycling, refuse and street cleaning services were impacted by the weather. Operations are due to restart ‘as soon as possible’, and residents are advised to retain their glass and plastics, due to the weather preventing recycling sites from being emptied.

Sevenoaks
As for Sevenoaks District Council, the heavy snow once again caused disruption. The council advised that, with further freezing weather forecast for the remainder of this week, there is likely to be further delays, but that collections are underway ‘from households where it is safe to do so’.
