A map celebrating the history of Pembury will be unveiled this month on the village green.
The illustrated zinc map shows all the major roads and sites of historic importance in the village.
Publicity officer for The Pembury Society, Richard Snow, said: “The map has been planned for a few years, and has been kindly funded by the Parish Council and the Pembury Society.
“The brick-built base has been kindly created and donated by Lesters Building Contractors of Tunbridge Wells.
“The map itself has been constructed by Photocast Products in Liverpool, and will be a reminder of our village’s wonderful heritage.”
Inspiration for the map was taken from a similar idea Richard and his brother Chris came across in Hampsthwaite, Yorkshire, several years ago.
The artwork and wording were put together by Kathryn Franklin, Gillie Norman, David Jeffery and Pam Oxley.
It will be unveiled by Councillor June Crowhurst, Chairman of Pembury Parish Council and David Hanes, Chairman of the Pembury Society, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 26.
