TEAMS from the town’s churches who serve food to people living on the streets are appealing for more volunteers to come forward.
The Tunbridge Wells Churches Street teams started in 1994. Now in their 23rd year, they operate seven nights a week in the Crescent Road Car Park.
As well as food, they offer a friendly face and give out sleeping bags and blankets where appropriate. At least two volunteers are currently being sought for the Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday night teams.
