How does your nearest service station rate?

The Mead School in Tunbridge Wells gave a professional level performance in the ISA drama contests

Dining in your nearest motorway service station is a better experience travelling westbound than eastbound, research has shown.

The twin M25 Clacket Lane services, positioned on the Kent – Surrey border, accounted for two of 112 facilities ranked by watchdog Transport Focus.

The Roadchef-operated service station recorded a 94 per cent customer satisfaction rate at its eastbound station and 83 per cent at the other side of the road.

Transport Focus’ report, released last week, did not state if the price, quality, or sheer thrill of entering Kent was behind the difference in ratings. Both stations ranked mid-table in the UK list.

Thurrock Moto, the next service station to the west on the M25, was bottom of the list with a 68 per cent satisfaction rating. Top was Norton Canes in Staffordshire with 100 per cent.
