Inquest opens into the death of Tunbridge Wells grandfather
Paul Perkins

The body of Paul Perkins of Norman Road was found on June 13 by a member of the public at an electrical substation in Sandrock Road.

He had been missing since May 28.

Family members had appealed to the public to help find the missing 58-year-old who they said had been taking lockdown ‘hard’.

Mr Perkins had previously gone missing earlier in May but was found safe and well near to Ashdown Forest.

However, he went missing again and it was more than two weeks before his body was eventually discovered less than a mile from his home.

Assistant Coroner for north west Kent, Alan Blunsdon, opened the inquest into the taxi driver’s death today [June 29] and adjourned it until September 17.
