The first reader was waiting on the doorstep when we opened our pop-up newsroom last week at Ismail, in Mount Pleasant Road.
Each Wednesday until the end of September, a journalist and a member of the commercial team will be on hand between 9am and 5pm to share a cuppa and chat with the public. It’s part of our plan to make it as easy as possible for people to let us have their news and views. If you have a story for us – pop in. If you have an event you want to publicise – pop in. If you have a query about advertising – pop in.
Tim Auckland from the Workers’ Educational Association was first in line last week. He wanted us to know about the work of WEA, providing quality learning opportunities for people, in weekday courses and half-day schools.
A feature on the work of the Tunbridge Wells organisation will hopefully appear in a future edition of the newspaper.
A steady stream of people followed. Why not make it your turn today? Pull up a chair and share your views with us. After all, it’s your local paper!
