It is one of the most exciting Tunbridge Wells Borough Council elections in years.
Sixteen of the authority’s 48 seats are up for grabs this time. While the overall control of the ruling Conservative group cannot be threatened, this year’s vote is an opportunity for parties to make their mark and their agendas known.
It is also the first time the Women’s Equality Party and Tunbridge Wells Alliance are standing some candidates.
All the votes were cast yesterday [Wednesday] and the ballots are being counted this morning inside Putlands Sports and Leisure Centre in Paddock Wood.
The results are expected around lunchtime.
