LOCAL charity St George’s Community Children’s Project has benefited from an upgrade on its technology thanks to a grant from the Big Lottery Fund.
The sum of £9,840 has been used to buy new desktop computers and tablets and install faster Wifi.
This IT overhaul will help to track children’s learning and development and improve communication with parents.
St George’s, a not-for-profit organisation which was rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, provides high quality childcare for children aged three months to 12 years.
It is the only nursery in Tunbridge Wells that offers affordable and free day care for vulnerable local children who live in difficult circumstances and those from underprivileged backgrounds.
Morgane Glew, Business Manager at St George’s, said: “This grant gives us a fantastic opportunity to upgrade our IT and really bring us into the 21st century.
“We are so grateful for the generosity of the Big Lottery Fund. The grant will help to benefit all the children who attend St George’s.”
