The incident happened on Sunday morning [February 16] along Pembury Walks, Pembury.
It is understood the man was driving with his two children, aged six and nine, when high winds caused by Storm Dennis uprooted the tree and brought it on top of their Mitsubishi Outlander.
Police say the driver and two children, who have not been named, walked away unscathed.
