Thirty-five firefighters were at the property in Woodland Way after the blaze began around 10pm on Friday, September 27.
Mr Day was a staff member of Tunbridge Wells charity IMAGO previously attended The Skinners’ School. He shared the home with his father George Day, who is said to be in his 70s.
George Day was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
