Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, that runs Pembury hospital, was among 30 to meet regulators last week to discuss how to hit A&E targets by ‘sharing innovation’ and ‘good practice’.
The trust, the best performing in Kent, is hitting the target that A&E patients are treated within four hours, 87.7% of the time. It should be 95 %.
Only 13 out of 130 trusts nationwide recently succeeded in hitting the 95 %.
