One of the busiest car parks in Tunbridge Wells at Royal Victoria Place is to be upgraded with a new digital system that will enable shoppers to pay on exit.
Under the present scheme at RVP visitors have to pay for a set period on arrival.
Members of the borough council’s cabinet voted in favour of extending an existing Post Payment scheme, which is now in place at Great Hall Car Park.

Tunbridge Wells is reported to be one of the first local authorities in the UK to adopt the technology.
