Staff from the local recruitment agency Adaptive Globalization volunteered their day to a good cause and ended up helping to build a maze in the children’s area at Pepenbury.
The charity, which helps adults with learning difficulties, is based in 100 acres of countryside just outside Tunbridge Wells.
Pepenbury not only houses adults with learning disabilities who are unable to live independently but also supports education and work. It holds numerous activities, including pottery, arts and crafts, cooking and the teaching of important life skills to all residents.
Adaptive Globalization’s Victoria Bates said: “Pepenbury is a hidden treasure that is open to the public.
It boasts a fantastic café and plant nursery, over 100 acres of woodland walks, an outside gym, children’s play area and lots of animals!”
Besides managing the woodlands, Pepenbury also runs a small farm, where residents care for animals including donkeys, pigs, goats, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs.
