Sankey’s chef, 21, dies in motorbike collision

The Mead School in Tunbridge Wells gave a professional level performance in the ISA drama contests

Tributes have been paid to a 21-year-old motorcyclist who died in a collision earlier this month.

Ellis Overy, who lived in Tonbridge, was a chef with Sankey’s-owned restaurant The Seafood Brasserie in Tunbridge Wells and dreamed of earning a Michelin Star.

He was involved in a fatal collision with a Skoda Fabia car at around 12.39am on Sunday, June 10, on the A26 Tonbridge Road in Wateringbury.

Kent Police is still appealing for witnesses and released a statement on behalf of Ellis’ family.

This read: ‘Ellis loved life and lived it to the full. He was an outstanding chef, always looking to learn new skills and to better himself to work in the best restaurants.’
