Father Christmas himself is to make an appearance in Tunbridge Wells this weekend to launch the Santa Express.
The special guest will be accompanied by Bing the polar bear on Saturday.
The service will run between 10am and 4pm, on December 5 and 6, then every day from December 12 until Christmas Eve.
Santa Express passengers will be asked to make donations, which will be shared between Pickering Cancer Drop-in Centre and Bridge Trust, which supports single homeless people in west Kent.
The first passengers will be children and families of the Pickering centre, who will be joined by the cast of Assembly Hall panto Cinderella.
Nick Moore, of Markerstudy Leisure which is operating the train, said: “It’s great that once again the Santa Express will be running. It will help Christmas shoppers get around the town more easily, and also promote festive giving for two excellent local charities.”
The service will run between the Pantiles and the Assembly Hall, via the High Street.
Another Santa Express will take visitors past the elf village and reindeer between December 21 and 24 at Salomons Estate, where there will be a Father Christmas’ grotto and a mini market.
