Southborough cyclist dies in road collision near Penshurst

A man in his 60s from Southborough has died in a road collision near Penshurst.

Kent Police were called at 6.30pm yesterday [Tuesday, July 17] regarding a collision.

This was said to be involving a blue tanker and a cyclist on the B2176 Penshurst Road between Bidborough and Penshurst.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 60s from Southborough, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the tanker or the cyclist immediately before or during the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact.
