MP Greg Clark has welcomed the repair of the clock at the town’s station after it suddenly stopped working during the summer, freezing at 11.15.
Southeastern called in specialist contractors to repair the clock following pressure from the MP.
Mr Clark said: “It doesn’t do our town any favours to have such a prominent clock displaying the wrong time, and as it’s on a building which is supposed to run to a timetable it really should be right more than twice a day.”
