Sixteen year old St Gregory’s Sixth Former Connor Rowland, has won ‘Best Story’ in a film and animation competition run by Elstree Film Design for his short film animation entitled House War.
The competition, which is open to young people aged up to 25 from the South East, asks entrants to develop, shoot and edit an original 90-second film or animation from scratch on a specific them. This year’s was A Sense of Humour.
Connor’s winning animation also made it to the final of other categories including Best Idea, Best Sound and Best Design and was premiered at an awards ceremony on June 2 at the British Film Institute in London.
